Metamorphosis

what makes change happen? beginnings are important but do they determine our future? this cocoon is delicate, I was scared bringing it home, scared that it would break. I mean it's only held by this thin feather-like string. So it got me to think, beginnings are like that...sometimes we're holding on by a "wing and prayer" the winds sway us back and fro and yet...this cocoon holds on...maybe i should too

though darkness surrounds it, scary and unknown..it's only hope to fully transform into what it will be depends on this strength right now...to hold on...to give a chance to what can be...

for there's a transformation occurring...something deep within it is changing...it's taking on another form. I am mesmerized how this metamorphosis takes place, like God giving me a glimpse of his majesty...i mean he could have just made this what is it but i believe it's purpose is to show me that he can change

s o m e t h i n g

completely different from what it started out from...

so that we EMERGE, we overcome; glorious, beautiful...
we can look at what we started out from and quickly realize we have persevered. so the butterfly hangs there a bit, stretching it's wings and preparing for flight. see it probably still has the mentality of the caterpillar. it doesn't imagine it's capabilities but it's coming to her. slowly...she's becoming aware of her surroundings... no longer suppressed by the tight shell it was in...

but it needs the sun, the warmth of it's rays. what makes the butterfly yearn for the sun...same i think that makes our soul yearn for the SON! we get our energy, our purpose. this butterfly is contemplating it's plan from here on out...a world to explore...

and now...with full realization, ANTICIPATION, wings spread out wide...ready for the unknown, realizing that it's gone though TRANSFORMATION, now it's ready for whatever comes! I'm sure it's scared, it's a BIG world out there...but you have to take it...grab it...posses it...one day at a time...

it's no secret to anyone who knows me that i am fascinated with butterflies. this butterfly was given to me by my wonderful husband. i watched it daily...examined it...of course probably blinded it from all the pictures i took...i really did not expect anything to impact me about this butterfly...i mean i love butterflies, but i had never EXPERIENCED what it really goes through. I wish EVERYONE had an opportunity to watch this transformation up close. it will change your outlook on life...no more meaningless days...MAKE EVERYDAY COUNT!
