Dr. Seuss Party

This party was the most fun of all the ones I have done so far. I love the colors and whimsical stripes that go with Dr. Seuss. I had this idea in my head and I must say that I was really excited how everything turned out. I had A LOT of help though; starting with the amazing art work which Isa (my brother-in-law) did,  what an awesome job and really brought the whole thing together. My sister helping me with her oh-so-needed directions and opinions (lol), then my friend Martha, with Sophia's outfit and just keeping me sane at times. I want to especially thank my wonderful husband, who puts up with my crazy ideas and tries to always fine a way to make it happen. All in all, my kiddos enjoyed their birthday party and really that is what makes this all worth while.

This was the overall set-up. Isa did the artwork directly on the garage door. Little Selah enjoying all the commotion.

We needed a directional sign, of course!

of course, Thing 1 and 2

I have the best kids!

We planted our own seeds!

Ian Joel

I'm always so amazed at how God trusts us with his most precious creations. I can remember not that long ago, when my friend Cindy prayed for another baby. This year, on 10.11.12 God blessed her with the desire of her heart. He blessed her and her wonderful husband with Ian Joel. Beautiful baby boy. As I was holding this baby in my hand and he would take the most sweetest breaths I couldn't help feel my heart swell with happiness and joy for my friends. Ian was a truly patient baby as we were maneuvering him every which way. He would just stay right asleep. I pray that he grows up to be a great Godly man and that he continues to make his momma proud.

Butterfly Fairy Garden Party

We had Selah's party this weekend and it was so amazing. First off, I would like to thank God for the amazing weather He provided for us. There were reports that it would rain but we prayed and God granted our prayer and we had 82 degree weather! Couldn't have asked for a better day. It was hard work and since I had fallen off my bike a couple of days before I was very sore. But my family really pulled through. Valentin was awesome and did such an amazing job putting the chairs, tables, and running the last bit of errands I needed finished. Joel and Sophia were such great helpers with the decorating and even the cooking. We had a great turn-out and most importantly Selah had fun.

I wanted everyone to feel like they stepped into a butterfly garden, deep in the forest...

with a chandelier in the center of course...

 The first playstations!

A little bit of tissue paper and twigs from the yard made these quite special

We had a Mac & Cheese stations with 4 different kinds of mac! YUM!
